Aloha all!! It's my favorite time of the year, besides August being my birthday month (August 23-hint hint) just kidding, but the highlight of this month is being apart of the MADE IN HAWAII FESTIVAL held annually at Neal Blaisdell Center (Exhibition Hall & Arena). This year iKandy moved from the Arena to the EXHIBITION HALL BOOTH #295!!!!! I'm so stoked about this, I've waited 2 years to be in the Exhibition Hall. As soon as you walk through the main entrance, take a RIGHT, walk straight and you'll see the ikandy booth! So you should already know iKandy & Exclusive come from the same ohana!

So many reasons I'm excited this year, the Made In Hawaii Festival is always an honor to be apart of. Over 300 business owners doing their own HUSTLE and each of them represent HAWAII in one way or another. It's a family event, and another plus side is the FREE Food samples and our FREE GIFT when your spend $50 or more! This afternoon I got a heavy box from the UPS, it was a mystery what was in it, all I knew is that it was nice and heavy. I opened it and it was ANTENNA - What Drops Next Fall / Aug Issue- MAGAZINE!! I was very surprised and the only trace from who it came from was the return address label...Peter ______! Thanks guys for sending us your DOPE Magazine, I'm assuming it's promos and our clientele is super stoked to get them! Though majority of the goods in here is for MEN :( when are we going to have an ANTENNA -What Drops Next- Ladies Issue :) soon I hope.

Aloha ladies! Flowers for your hair, of course we had to bring these in. It's a staple for us Local Hawaii Girls! Who doesn't look good with a Pua in their ear. If you're TAKEN wear it on your LEFT, and if you're SINGLE wear it on your RIGHT...or what ever looks better :) Yes these are fake but they look oh so real, made from flexible foam (which is way better then the old school clay flowers that brake so easily). The groundUP Pirates are back, and in a big way, with FLASH! - a fashion show / photography exhibition going down this Friday night at the Honolulu Design Center.

Giving love to the photographers, FLASH! will highlight the dopest work from Hawaii’s elite photography talent: Willy banlund, Harold Julian, Rafael Swit, Peter Helenius, Brooke Dombroski, Carolyn Mirante, Aaron Eskaran, Kristofor Gelert, and Luke Takayama.

Along with the photographers taking center stage, there is also a fashion show going on, featuring pieces from Exclusive, Cassandra Rull, and The Butik.

Finally, what groundUP event would be complete without music? The sound selectors include Rhyme the Old Man, Elephant Armada, Sentric, DeeNiri, and DJs Oliver Twist and Liger with the IMON Factor.

FLASH! goes down this Friday night at the Honolulu Design Center (1250 Kapiolani). $5 will get you through the doors, which open at 8pm and is open to all ages.
